Inayat Boparai , a student of Class IV of Vivek High School, Mohali has become the National champion in the  Abacus Competition and Mental Arithmetic Programme whichwas organized by Soroban (Abacus) Education for Mental Arithmetic System (SEMAS),the official organization dealing in Japanese abacus and brain development programmes in 14 countries across the world. Over 700 students from North India competed in the 14th Annual National-Level Abacus competition in Chandigarh on Sunday. Innayat was among the 700 competitors who were given 4 minutes to attempt as many sums as possible and  she solved 544 of that!

Ananya's Book Launch ‘My Journey from Mohali to St. Petersburg‘ 
The book was officially released by Viktor Zubkov, Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors as part of the 6th season of the Football for Friendship (F4F) international children’s social programme organized by Gazprom, an official partner of FIFA and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

She was awarded the best young journalist award for her effort in spreading the values of the programme through this book. This year 211 countries and regions participated in the programme and they all were part of the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony.

The Forum was attended by 1,500 children accompanied by adults, with around 5,000 guests and participants in total. The event featured boys and girls, including those with disabilities, who took part in the project as Young Footballers, Young Journalists, and Young Coaches. They were all driven by a common goal: to promote universal human values such as friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions, and honor.

The Forum’s guests of honor included Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Olga Golodets, officials from the Russian Government, officials from United Nation, the Russian Olympic Committee, FIFA, heads of football federations, star footballers, Olympic and Paralympic champions, and public figures. Children were greeted by Iker Casillas, Spanish goalkeeper and the captain of the Portuguese club Porto, Alexander Kerzhakov, head coach of the Russian national under-17 football team, Firas Al-Khatib, Syrian footballer, and Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al-Sayyar, Administrative Director of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

Aditya Nagpal of Class I-B of our school has won the bronze medal at the CBSE National Roller Skating Championship – 2016.
Prior to this he won the Silver medal in 5th - 1000 meter speed skating under-8 inline race at the CBSE North Zone Skating Championship held at Amritsar.

Aaditaa vashishta of VIII/B , Vivek High School, Mohali clinched the Sunrise Open Tennis Tournament Title in the Under -16 category.The Tournament was played at Chandigarh club on Monday,23rd May,2016. It was a facile win for Aaditaa as she beat Arzoo 6-2 to emerge the winner. Many Congratulations to Aaditaa on her winning the tournament title.
